Hey — Earlier this year, I got an exciting message from Shrimp Club alum Brenna McGowan, who’s gearing up for her masterclass, “The New Launch Model for 2026” — where she’ll dish on what’s working now, and open doors to her Pre-Launch Plan Program. The news was about one of your fellow Shrimpers, Paddy Johnson: Of course I wanted the tea: How did the $300K compare to her previous income? And what did she do differently? I knew it had to do with pre-launching, obvi. Brenna had helped me with my own pre-launch of Shrimp Club last year and, thanks to her tips, I sold 80% of the spots (priced at $16K) before I even officially opened it for enrollment. I’m sure she’ll spill about Paddy’s strategy on her masterclass Wednesday. ​ But if you’re curious about the income numbers, I’ll share this: As of September 2025, Paddy’s launches were down by about 50% from the year before. Normal in the shifting market, but yikes. The stuff of lost sleep…and lost hair. After enrolling in Brenna’s program and implementing her strategies, Paddy saw her sales go up by 180%. The $300k Paddy earned in November and December from her revitalized launches made up the entire difference from the previous year, and then some. I love hearing this — especially about one of “my” Shrimpers. I guess now she’s Brenna’s Pre-Launcher, too. (Doesn’t have the same ring, but nice cha-ching.) Now I have to say something problematic about Brenna’s success. She’s become *the* go-to expert on pre-launching, which is the (mostly overlooked) key to successful launching, period. She’s helped people get such great results, Amy Porterfield invited Brenna onto her podcast this year. And the episode made the #5 slot in U.S. podcast rankings. Where’s the problem here? Well, I’m feeling mighty proud of Brenna. She’s an alum of my live mentoring party/mastermind, Shrimp Club, after all. But you’re not supposed to say you’re “proud of” somebody. That’s now seen as patronizing. You’re supposed to say you’re impressed. So, I take it back. I’m impressed. And proud for her. Or, to use the Yiddish term, I’m kvelling. Yo - I’m off to Greece today. 9 nights in Crete, with 2 on each side in Athens. Can’t wait to be in the water. Also, eating Greek salad and taramasalata. Can’t get enough of that stuff.
