Bye!

Yo -

I’m off to Greece today. 9 nights in Crete, with 2 on each side in Athens.

Can’t wait to be in the water. Also, eating Greek salad and taramasalata. Can’t get enough of that stuff.

My mom is very supportive when Steven and I travel. At 89, she still goes on trips, but is probably done with any places like Greece, with all its cobblestones and hills.

She uses a walker now. If you have any kind of mobility issues or are ever out and about with someone who does, you know: most of the world ain’t ADA compliant.

Most of America isn’t, and it’s the *AMERICANS* With Disabilities Act.

For real, one of the restaurants we ate in last year in Sifnos might as well have been built on a balance beam atop an Olympic diving board on a boulder perched on the nose of a seal.

Mom’s grateful she traveled so much with my dad, especially when he worked for the airlines and could fly free.

So, whenever we book a trip, Mom says “Go everywhere. Do it all while you can.”

I refuse to believe there’ll come a day when we can’t — hello optimism and denial, those happy cousins — but I gladly take her advice and never hesitate to spend our time and money on travel.

Plus, I love vacation. And I love hotels. And hotel breakfast.

Also, the passage of time is freaking me out. WTF do you mean, 9/11, an event that occurred a full decade into my adulthood, happened a quarter century ago? Rude.

Other than prison, I imagine, travel is the best way to slow down time.

I’ll be sending you some emails while I’m away — definitely some about Jess Eckstrom’s Big Idea Bootcamp for speaking on stage and some about my friend and Shrimp Club alum Brenna McGowan’s masterclass on launching (more on that soon) — but will probably be off my usual M/W/F schedule.

Actually, I already am. It’s Tuesday, isn’t it?

My message for you today is, Go everywhere. Do it all while you can.

PS - Flight leaves at midnight. I’ve spent weeks thinking about whether I’ll eat dinner on the plane (I mean, do I really want balsamic-glazed shortrib with polenta at 1am?) and what time I’ll do my TM. Never meditated in the sky before, but I’m determined to keep my streak.

Reader — God, I hate speaking. That’s what I think when I’m packing for an event where I’m going to be on stage. In that moment, I wonder why I do this to myself and why I don’t say no and what would it take to get the whole shebang canceled so I get out of it without the shame of pulling out. (Something I’d never actually do.) And then, when I’m up there, the audience laughing, nodding, and taking notes, I’m like, “I WANNA LIVE ONSTAGE! LET’S DO IT AGAIN!” …Even more so when it’s over and...

Heads up! 50% off Email Cash Cow ends tonight at midnight ET! Grab it here with code FINGERNAIL50 Hey! I’ve been telling everyone (including you and my husband) to watch Furious on Hulu. It’s about a female FBI agent, traumatized by a history of abuse, tracking down a female serial killer who was trafficked as a child. It’s blatantly Epstein-coded. Deals in the darkest subject matter. It’s also hilarious. I literally laugh out loud at parts I overhear from the other room, where Steven’s...

A few months ago, Shrimp Club alum Sarah Aviram did something most people wouldn't be caught dead doing. Her new book was coming out, and she posted that it had a chance of hitting the USA Today bestseller list — if enough people helped by buying and spreading the word. Why wouldn’t most of us do the same? Because we don’t want to be seen trying. It’s embarrassing. Thirsty. Vulnerable. What if I’m public about a big goal and then I don’t make it and the world sees me simultaneously fall on my...
